As they get to know him and his interests, they've tailored their care. For instance, my father loves animals, so they have often taken him to farms and zoos. Whenever there is a film playing that is of interest to him, they take him to see it. They've also included him on larger group events where they've taken a day trip (e.g. Niagara Falls). These have always been very cost effective and have provided my father with additional social interaction with folks his own age.
I took a quick look at the other comments posted; I'm disappointed that one individual didn't find the company met his expectations. All I can say is that in the 3 years we've worked with them they've been ethical, honest and whenever there was an issue, they addressed it quickly and fairly.

" Best care provided support to my Aunt for over 6 year. Both Zuzana and her team of caring individuals helped transition my Aunt from Retirement Living to Long Term Care. Their caring ,compassion and friendship gave my Aunt the dignity she deserved. They made sure my Aunt was always looking and feeling her best. She went on many outings and her favorite was The Dutch Mill and Botanical Gardens. She enjoyed many plays and concert.They treated her like family and both Zuzana and Paul the owners of Best Care Agency were always readily available to guide us along the way.
They were there for us during her last days. Both Paul and Zuzana and the entire staff came to the Funeral home to pay their respects all dressed in their pink and white uniforms. Over the years we became friends and I will never forget how supportive the entire team was toward my Aunt and our family. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is need of care for a loved one.When you have this support it makes it easier to carry on with the daily stresses of home work and family. " We hired Zuzana and Best Care Agency when my Mom was very ill and it was a challenge for my father to care for her in their home alone. She came to their house and spent a considerable amount of time getting to know us in order to provide the care that we needed at that time.
Each and every person that entered their home were kind, caring, loving, honest and firmly motivating to my mom when she needed a little push to not just lay around and get sicker.
Their main care provider Jenna became like a family member to them and I honestly couldn't have cared for them any better and of course that is what you always want when you are inviting strangers into your home to provide the most intimate care.

I should also mention that anytime money is spent, they ensure I get the receipts so that I am aware of what is going on. The best thing is they do all of their services with such care and compassion which is so important to us!
Best Care has also accompanied me to Mom's doctor appointments as I can't manage getting mom in the car by myself. This has made these trips less stressful for me and Mom. They have also accommodated us when the usual times didn't work in these situations.
I have already recommended Best Care to many people and will continue to do so! They have given my Mom great service and she is always happy to see the "pink ladies"! They have also given us peace of mind knowing that when we can't be there, she is still getting the companionship and care she needs and deserves! "

" Best Care Agency was recommended very positively to us by friends who had used their services for a number of years for their 90+ year old mother who was in a long term care facility. We decided to try it out last year and worked with Zuzana to tailor a program that would complement the care my 90 year old mother was receiving in her retirement home. Initially the program included a mix of indoor physical and mental stimulation activities and outings to some very interesting spots my mother could never venture out to on her own on - restaurants, RBG, Niagara Falls Christmas light show, and local animal exhibits we didn’t even know existed, to name a few.
Now, as my mother’s condition changes we alter the program to reflect her current needs and have placed more focus on the indoor activities. All of the Best Care Agency team are excellent, very caring and offer great companion support. We receive on-line feedback from every visit along with great pictures of my mother during the activities. The Best Care Team has made my mother’s life in her later years much more active, stimulating and enriched. I am very glad they were recommended to us! "

" The staff of The Best Care Agency has provided outstanding services and ‘above and beyond’ care to my mom (Mary) for the past 27 months. We had made the decision to employ the services of The Best Care Agency for many reasons.
One reason was to supplement Mary’s care, due to government mandated numbers and lack of staff. Staff from The Best Care Agency has the time to encourage, engage and foster participation that would otherwise be neglected by staff of the Long Term Care. (Of no fault of theirs)
Secondly, Mary’s needs due to her emotional deviations from her usual demeanour as her dementia progressed were able to be managed with great success.
Thirdly, Mary’s mental stimulation (brain activities) to maintain the strong math and verbal skills she has was able to be accommodated with games either brought by family or by being taken to programs offered at the Long Term Care facility.
One great added benefit was the fact that some of their staff speaks Mary’s native language. This as well as the fact that staff are willing to show Mary dancers or listen to music on their I phones or on music that the family has brought in.
They can and do also take the time to look through photo albums that have been brought in by family. This is always good for stimulating conversation and recall for the resident.
The abundance of knowledge and utilization of various strategies for constructive interaction and re-direction with Mary as she, at times, has been more verbally assertive, is wonderful.
Zuzana and her staff of P.S.W.’s have provided one on one in-room support when Mary is refusing to leave the comfort of her room with conversation, manicures and foot baths.
Staff have successfully taken Mary on many outings even with other residents to the RBG, Dutch Mill Country Market and Triple C Farms.
This decision was the best decision that I could have made for Mary and Me. The staff have taken a great deal of stress away from me as her Primary Caregiver.
The companionship shown to Mary is definitely ‘from the heart’. Staff genuinely and to the fullest degree take responsibility regarding the care of their clients and are as flexible as the day necessitates.
I highly recommend The Best Care Agency to anyone who has someone that needs additional care and motivation that is beyond what can be provided in a Long Term Care facility, in their own home or by family.

" Zuzanna and the Best Care team have been an absolute pleasure to work with helping care for my Great Aunt Ruth who just celebrated her 100th birthday a few weeks ago. Their caring compassionate ways are second to none and have been helping care for my great Aunt for over two years. "
" The last week of my mom's life, in Feb. 2016, my family had added extra care from Best Care to the care already being provided to her at home. The psw from Best Care was wonderful. Everything done for my mom's comfort and care was with compassion and dignity -- from feeding her to doing her hair. Extra attention, like making tea for family, being there to chat, support, and comfort, will never be forgotten. The psw stayed beyond required hours to make a meal for the family the day my mom passed, while we tended to things that needed to be done.
When my dad took ill several months later, and was in hospital ICU almost an entire year, we hired Best Care to assist with his care, when we felt ICU staff were not able/willing to provide him the extra care he needed. The support and companionship Best Care provided when family was unable to be there, was immeasurable. ICU is a hard environment to be in -- the psw's did their best to try to make it warmer/better. They read to him, talked to him, sang to him, did simple activities, took care of some of his grooming needs, and beyond the scope of their job function, assisted his ICU nurses when asked, with tasks they were performing --- making their job easier.
The owner of Best Care, Zuzana, advocated on my dad/family's behalf, on her own time, to get extra quality of life care from the hospital that my dad deserved to be getting, but wasn't. The day my dad passed his psw was present on her scheduled day. We were not billed for this day --- it was charged as "honour care". The owner, Zuzana, attended my dad's funeral, and spoke compassionately to friends and family present.
The owners, Paul and Zuzana, and the psw's who work at Best Care Agency, are genuinely caring, compassionate people who put the well being, dignity, and needs of their clients as their highest priority.
My family and I will never forget the kindness, compassion, dignity, and care that Best Care provided to my dad and my mom, and the support and friendship offered to us.

" I have been dealing with Best Care Agency, mainly with Zuzanna Panek since March, 4, 2016. I have found Zuzanna and her staff to be very professional and efficient in the service they provide. When I was called upon to act as Power of Attorney for an older friend, I was pretty much at a loss as to what I had to do. Thankfully Zuzanna was there to not only provide excellent care to Mr. Ronald Shepherd but to help me in every aspect of acting as Power of Attorney. Zuzanna and her staff have helped keep Mr. Shepherd as active and as engaged as possible. They have always managed to ensure that Ron is looked after and taken for dental and doctor appointments etc. Zuzanna and her staff always look after Ron’s best interest and they fill any gaps in care that may arise at the residence. Ron has grown very fond of the staff from Best Care and he cooperates much better with them that the nursing staff at the retirement home. Simply put, Zuzanna and her staff manage to get all the things done that I am not available or capable of doing. The care provide by Zuzanna and her staff from Best Care Agency Ltd. Have enabled Ron to have a much more enjoyable and fulfilling life. Without their help, Mr. Shepherd would need to be moved to a long term nursing home, which is not what Ron wants to do at this time. "
